Government approves 1,531 plots and interest-free loans for “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” Housing Scheme.
A meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to review the progress of the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing project. During the meeting, the government approved the allotment of 1,531 plots under the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” scheme.
It was also decided that people living in joint families will be eligible to receive interest-free loans under this project to expand their existing homes. This step aims to support families who require additional space for their growing households and improve their living conditions.
Officials informed the meeting that 53,843 houses are currently under construction across Punjab under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program. These houses are being developed to provide affordable housing facilities to citizens in different districts of the province.

The briefing further revealed that a record amount of Rs 164.66 billion has already been disbursed as loans under the housing initiative. The government stated that this large-scale financial support reflects its commitment to enabling people to build, renovate, and own homes.
