Women in Iran are officially allowed to ride motorcycles, apply for licenses after a new government resolution cleared years of legal confusion.
Women in Iran have now been officially allowed to ride motorcycles. After this decision, women can also apply for and get motorcycle driving licenses.
According to a foreign news agency, local media said this decision has ended many years of confusion in the law about women riding motorcycles.
Earlier, there was no clear law that stopped women from riding motorcycles or scooters. However, in real life, authorities did not give licenses to women.
Because of this unclear law, women were often held responsible if an accident happened, even without proper legal support.
