Karachi: The MLO report of four bodies found in a manhole near the gate on Mai Kalachi Road has been obtained. According to the report, the ages of the deceased are between 10 and 40 years.
Details of the Deceased
The MLO report states that one child was 10 years old and had severe injuries on his dead body. The other child was said to be 15 years old, with injuries on his head and neck.
According to the report, the third body is that of a young girl, estimated to be between 14 and 16 years old. There were also signs of violence on her head and neck.
The fourth body is that of a woman, aged between 35 and 40, and signs of violence were found on her head, face and hands.
Police and Identification Process
In this regard, DIG South Asad Raza said that fingerprints of dead bodies were taken through search devices and NADRA to identify the bodies, but identification could not be done through these methods either.
He said that various samples have been taken for chemical testing and DNA test of dead bodies. After these reports, the real cause of death will become clear.
Post-Mortem Findings
According to Asad Raza, the initial post-mortem examination suggests that the four people died due to violence. A case will be registered after the bodies are identified.
He also said that there are no CCTV cameras around the crime scene.
Investigation Angle
On the other hand, SSP Kemari Amjad Sheikh said that the four bodies, including two women, have not been identified yet. He said that no report of four people going missing at once in Karachi has been received.
According to Amjad Sheikh, DNA samples of the dead bodies have been sent to the laboratory after the post-mortem. Apparently, this incident seems to be an honor killing.
Discovery of the Bodies
He further said that the bodies were first seen by a garbage collector and he informed the police. No further evidence was found in this case.
