Money Laundering Scandal Multi-Billion Rupee

Money Laundering Scandal Multi-Billion Rupee FIA uncovers alleged $1.3 million illegal transfers by Hamza Ali Abbasi’s sister, raising questions on law enforcement and accountability

There is a new money laundering case in the media and social media, in which the name of Hamza Ali Abbasi’s elder sister Fazila Abbasi is being mentioned. According to the investigation of our Investigation Agency (FIA), about $ 1.3 was illegally sent to the country through 22 accounts, and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has no knowledge about it.

The FBR revealed that Abbasi’s amount was reported to be between Rs 400,000 and Rs 600,000, which is much less than the actual extent of the financial transactions. The FIA investigation revealed that he said that he was registering his personal and suspicious accounts in Islamic, MCB, UBL and JS Bank, whose large and dirham line debts were found. It is said that evidence of illegal compensation transfers was also found, including hundi transactions.

For your information, Fazila Abbasi works as a Dermatologist in Pakistan. According to her website, she visits London and Pakistan for skin treatments. She has been doing this since 2003 and has completed her postgraduate studies from St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, College London, one of the world’s leading centres.

Fazila Abbasi belongs to a prominent family. Her father is a retired major and her mother, Naseem Akhtar Chaudhry, is a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of the National Assembly (MNA). She was a member of the assembly from 2002 to 2007 and again from 2008 to 2013 on specific points.

This case shows that in Pakistan, people are not always right against the law. People say that the law should be equal for everyone, but action is not taken against big and famous people. This reduces the public’s trust in justice.

There was a famous money laundering case in 2015 too. You accuse Ayyan Ali of sending $500,000. She spent five months in jail, but was later granted bail by the Lahore High Court.

Now when this new case comes to light, people will see that the famous case against the law being applied properly for big and famous people will end up like the famous case.
