Trump asserts diplomacy will continue even amid escalating conflict and losses
The US President said that talks are ongoing with Iran, the system shot down the plane. He says that this action should not be recognized, it means war.
The soldiers said that “this is a war and our situation is at war, if the number of missing crew members reaches, then what will be done, it will not go away yet”, the seriousness of the ongoing war speaks to the US.
Escalating Conflict
The previous day saw significant losses for US forces in the region. Reports indicate that three aircraft were shot down and two helicopters came under attack. Notably, an A-10 fighter jet was downed near the Strait of Hormuz, though the pilot managed to escape safely.
Iran’s Stance on Negotiations
Iranian officials have rejected US demands for a ceasefire and have said they will not meet anyone in the Valley, leaving diplomatic talks at a standstill. Some talks are also underway with the US side, and Trump has said talks will continue, but Iran has called the US demands “unacceptable” or excessive and has refused to hold direct talks.

Strategic Implications
Experts have warned that the conflict could further destabilize the region and disrupt energy supplies, especially oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. The situation remains tense, with both sides continuing their military operations, and diplomatic talks are technically open.
