Four people, including two pilots, die after Learjet 45 crashes in Baramati area of Pune district.

A Learjet 45 crash happened in the Indian state of Maharashtra during an emergency landing. As a result of the accident, four people were killed, including the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar. Two pilots were also among those who died.

According to Indian media reports, Ajit Pawar was traveling in a chartered aircraft when the accident occurred. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed that the crash happened while the plane was trying to make an emergency landing.

The accident took place in the Baramati area of Pune district. The incident happened at around 9:00 in the morning. Reports say the Learjet 45 aircraft lost control while landing, about one hour after taking off from Mumbai.

Ajit Pawar was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati to attend a public gathering during the ongoing district and local council elections. Unfortunately, the plane crashed before reaching its destination.

So far, the exact reason for the crash has not been confirmed. However, concerned authorities have started an investigation to find out what caused the accident.
