JUI leader Hafiz Hamdullah has said that he has no intention of getting married again. However, he added that if he gets angry and has to break the law, he would marry a 16-year-old girl.
While talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad, Hafiz Hamdullah suggested that JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should arrange collective marriages in all four provinces after returning from his foreign tour.
He said that these collective marriages should be for young people who have reached adulthood but are under the age of 18.

“Pakistan is an Islamic republic; no law against the Quran and Sunnah can be accepted.”
Hafiz Hamdullah stated that they would not accept any law that goes against the Quran and Sunnah. He said that Pakistan is an Islamic republic, and such laws cannot be accepted.

He also said that the Constitution clearly mentions that no law should be made against the Quran and Sunnah.

He further added that people who, according to him, rebelled against the Constitution while sitting in Parliament should face Article 6. He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is doing everything according to the Constitution.
At the end, Hafiz Hamdullah repeated that although he is not interested in a second marriage, if he becomes angry, he could still marry a 16-year-old girl.
