Imran Khan Undergoes Eye Treatment at PIMS After Vision Complaint

A senior eye specialist examined the 74-year-old PTI founder Imran Khan inside the jail and conducted a detailed medical check-up. The examination included eye pressure testing, retinal evaluation, laboratory tests, and an OCT scan to determine the exact cause of the issue.

Doctors diagnosed him with right central retinal vein occlusion, a condition that affects blood flow to the retina and can lead to blurred or reduced vision if not treated promptly.

Following medical advice, Imran Khan was shifted to PIMS late Saturday night for hospital-based treatment. After explaining the procedure and obtaining his consent, doctors administered an anti-VEGF injection in the operation theatre under strict medical supervision.

The procedure lasted about 20 minutes and was completed without complications. Hospital officials confirmed that he remained stable throughout the treatment and was later discharged with follow-up instructions for recovery.
