The Israeli army conducted a large-scale drill simulating 2,000 missile strikes on city centers in preparation for a potential Iran attack.
The Israeli army held a big drill to practice for a possible attack by Iran. Israeli media reported that the exercise simulated 2,000 missiles hitting city centres. The army has not officially commented on the drill.
According to the Maariv newspaper, the drill was led by the Home Front Command. It focused on rescuing people and treating injuries after a big attack. Hundreds of soldiers and commanders from the Rescue Brigade took part. The drill was held at a facility on the Zikim army base, south of Tel Aviv. It simulated missile strikes hitting a major city, with collapsed buildings and widespread destruction.

The exercise began at 2 a.m. local time. All the rescue teams and command leaders trained together. The drill included the collapse of towers and other big damages.
The Israeli army said this was the largest drill by the Home Front Command in recent years. They said it was a pre-planned training exercise, not a response to immediate events.

Israel also wants the ongoing US-Iran talks to include Iran’s missile program and support for regional groups, not just focus on its nuclear program. Last June, Israel, with US support, carried out a 12-day military campaign against Iran. Iran responded by targeting areas inside Israel until the US helped arrange a ceasefire.
