Mohammad Yousuf Criticizes ICC Over Bangladesh’s Exclusion from T20 World Cup 2026

Mohammad Yousuf criticizes ICC over Bangladesh’s exclusion from T20 World Cup 2026.

Former Pakistan captain says rules should be equal for all and ICC must act as a fair international body.

Former Pakistan cricket team captain and Test cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has criticized the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the reported removal of Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup 2026.

Reacting to the decision, Mohammad Yousuf said it is very sad to see a cricket-loving nation like Bangladesh being kept away from the tournament due to unresolved security concerns. He expressed disappointment that such an issue could lead to a team’s exclusion from a major international event.

Yousuf pointed out that in the past, when similar security concerns arose, matches were shifted to neutral venues instead of removing teams from tournaments. He said that international cricket has always found solutions through neutral grounds, and the same approach should have been considered in this case.

He further stated that rules should not be changed for just one country. According to him, fairness and equal treatment are the foundation of international cricket.

Mohammad Yousuf also emphasized that the ICC must act as a true global cricket body. He said it should not appear as if it is protecting the interests of only one cricket board. Instead, it must ensure transparency, justice, and equal opportunities for all member nations.
