Palestinian journalist Bisan Owda has said that TikTok has banned her account. She had around 1.4 million followers on the platform. Bisan Owda is well known for sharing news and real-life updates from Gaza. She said she spent almost four years building her Short-video platform account by posting videos about what is happening in her country.
According to Bisan, the ban happened after Short-video platform made recent changes in its leadership and content rules. These changes have affected many users around the world. She shared screenshots showing Short-video platform had first removed some of her posts, citing content issues, before banning her entire account.
