PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar emphasizes preconditions for dialogue, including family and leadership meetings, to ensure meaningful negotiations.

Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, said that if the government really wants to have talks, it must first build trust. He said that meetings with the PTI founder should happen before any negotiations start. This includes allowing him to meet his family and the party leaders.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar said that PTI has always supported dialogue and talks in the past. He also said that now the authority to handle talks is with Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas.

“Dialogue without trust is like building on sand; the foundation must be strong first.”

He explained that meaningful talks cannot happen without trust. As a first step, he said, the PTI founder must be allowed to meet his family and the party leadership. He also asked that Bushra Bibi be allowed to meet her family.

“Allowing party leaders and family meetings will set the right tone for genuine negotiations.”

Barrister Gohar added that next week is the scheduled day for meetings. He said he hopes that this time the meetings will really happen. He said these steps are very important to build confidence and move the talks forward in a positive way.
