Public holiday on February 4, 2026, for Shab-e-Barat; offices and educational institutions to remain closed across the province.
The Punjab government has announced a public holiday on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
According to an official notification, all provincial government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions, local councils, as well as government and semi-government educational institutions will remain closed on this day.

Authorities have directed all concerned departments to make proper arrangements at mosques, shrines, and graveyards, as a large number of people are expected to visit these places for prayers and religious observance. Security, cleanliness, and lighting arrangements have also been ordered to ensure public convenience.
