The Punjab government launches Punjab Solar Plate Scheme 2026 to provide free solar panels to eligible families and reduce electricity bills and load shedding.
Free solar panels from the government
The Punjab government has started a very good work. The name of this work is Punjab Solar Plate Scheme 2026. Under this scheme, the government is giving six (6) solar plates to poor and middle class families, so that electricity can easily come to their homes.
Solar plates generate electricity from sunlight. This reduces the electricity bill and also reduces load shedding.
Why is this scheme necessary?

- Who have a National Identity Card (CNIC)
- Who are poor or needy
⚠️ Households whose electricity bill is less than 300 units cannot join this scheme.

- Go to the government website
- Write your CNIC number
- Write your name and mobile number
- Write your home address
- Write the electricity bill units (300 or more)
- Review everything
- Finally press the submit button

What if you don’t get free solar panels?
If someone doesn’t get free solar panels:
- He can take an easy loan from Bank of Punjab
- He can install a solar system in installments
At the bank:
- You have to show your identity card
- You have to pay the electricity bill
- The bank will check whether you are eligible or not
Why are some people not getting solar panels?
Some common reasons:
- ID card expired
- Electricity units less than 300
- Incorrect information written on the form
Once these issues are fixed, solar panels may be available.
