Citizens warned to ignore fake messages as e-challan notifications will now be sent only from 9915.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has announced that e-challan SMS messages will now be sent only from the official number 9915. Previously, traffic violation messages were sent from 8070, but the system has now been updated.
According to the Safe City spokesperson, the authority does not issue e-challan messages from any number other than 9915. Citizens have been advised not to make payments through suspicious SMS messages or fake websites claiming to represent Safe City.
The spokesperson clarified that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority never asks for payments, bank details, or account information through SMS. People have also been warned not to click on any links included in fake e-challan messages.
“Public awareness is key to preventing online fraud and SMS scams.”

Official e-challan SMS notifications clearly mention the time, location, and details of the traffic violation. The authority emphasized that all Safe City services are completely free for citizens.
If anyone receives a suspicious or fraudulent SMS, they should immediately contact 15. Citizens can also verify their e-challan status by visiting challan.psca.gop.pk or by using the Public Safety App.
Authorities have further stated that strict legal action is being taken against individuals involved in fraud or scams using the name of Safe City.
