Karachi city authorities have announced that the famous Sea View Beach will remain open to the public on New Year’s Eve, allowing citizens to welcome the New Year. Police officials have urged the public to celebrate responsibly and avoid any dangerous activities.
SSP South District has specifically warned citizens against aerial firing and one-wheeling on New Year’s Eve, as these activities can be hazardous. Police have stated that strict legal action will be taken against anyone engaging in aerial firing to prevent accidents.
Strict security arrangements have been implemented in Seaview and surrounding areas to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. Around 2,451 officers and personnel will be deployed, including senior police officers, mobile units, motorcycle and mounted police, while intelligence teams will also monitor the area.
To improve traffic flow, some roads in Seaview have been made one-way to reduce congestion. Police have emphasized that no illegal activities will be tolerated, ensuring that citizens can celebrate the New Year safely and peacefully.
