Cold winds, rain, and thunderstorms likely to affect Lahore and other Punjab cities’s weather over the next few days.
People in Lahore should prepare for cold and cloudy weather this week. According to weather reports, the city is expected to receive rainstorm, strong winds, and thunderstorms. Light rain may also fall tonight in some areas.
In a few parts of the city, heavy rainstorm is possible. The air is very moist, with humidity recorded at 86 percent. Temperatures in Lahore are expected to stay very low for the next three days, ranging between 5°C and 8°C.
Weather conditions are likely to remain cold on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During these days, rainstorm may come and go. Some periods may bring cloudy skies and light rainstorm, while other times strong winds may blow.
A spokesperson from the Meteorological Department said,
“A strong weather system is causing rainstorm, cold winds, and thunderstorms across Punjab, including Lahore.”

Rainstorm is not limited to Lahore alone. Many other cities across Punjab are also expected to receive rain and thunderstorms. These cities include Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffargarh. In upper areas, there is also a chance of hail.
Hilly regions such as Murree and Galiyat are expected to experience even colder conditions. These areas may receive snowfall along with rainstorm and thunderstorms, especially during evening and night hours.
Weather experts say a strong weather system is affecting northern and central parts of Pakistan. This system is bringing cold air, rainstorm, and strong winds, and it is expected to remain active until tomorrow.
Across many parts of the country, the weather remains cold and dry. In mountainous regions, cold conditions are more severe. Recently, rainstorm was recorded in parts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while snowfall occurred in Kalam, Quetta, and Parachinar.
Today, the coldest place was Leh, where the temperature dropped to -11°C, followed by Parachinar at -5°C. Other very cold areas include Skardu, Gupis, Bagrote, Kalam, and Malam Jabba.
