The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) is a regulatory body established in 2011 under the Punjab Food Authority Act. It ensures food safety, quality, and hygiene across Punjab. PFA conducts inspections, enforces food standards, promotes healthy eating practices, and provides career opportunities for professionals in food safety, public analysis, audit, and administration.
Job Overview:
PFA is inviting online applications for various posts in every city of Punjab. These are permanent jobs and the salary is also good. The posts include Assistant Food Safety Officers, Assistant Public Analysts, Food Safety Officers, Auditors, Dairy Technologists or Assistant Directors. Those who will be selected will be selected online.They will work according to quality control, audit, and rules.
Eligibility Criteria & Requirements:
Education:
M.Sc. (Hons) / M.Phil. / MS in Food Science & Technology, Food Technology, Agriculture Food Science & Technology, Food Safety & Quality Management, Food Safety and Control, Food Nutrition & Science, Biochemistry or related fields from a recognized university.
Gender: Both Males and Females (Transgender candidates evaluated as per CNIC).
Age Limit: 33 years for Males, 38 years for Females.
Experience: Relevant experience required depending on the post.
Skills: Food safety inspection, laboratory analysis, auditing, quality control, report preparation, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Degree from HEC recognized university
- Age and experience as per post requirement
- Relevant technical or professional experience in food safety, analysis, or auditing
- Strong analytical, reporting, and administrative skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct food safety inspections and public analysis
- Monitor compliance with food safety standards
- Audit financial and operational processes
- Support laboratory testing and reporting
- Ensure hygiene and quality management in food operations
- Assist in policy implementation and regulatory enforcement
