Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab rejected MQM’s demands and called for fair federal support.
Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, has strongly rejected MQM’s demands, stating that politics in the name of a tragedy and efforts to divide the province will not be allowed.
Speaking on the Geo News program “Naya Pakistan,” Wahab highlighted the disparity in development support between Karachi and other provinces. Murtaza Wahab, said that in Punjab, even roads are constructed by the federal government, but Karachi does not receive similar backing. He urged people to question why projects like the Green Line in Karachi remain incomplete, instead of focusing on the Yellow Line and Red Line projects.
“Provincial unity is essential for Karachi’s growth and stability.”
Wahab reiterated that exploiting tragedies for political purposes and attempting to create division in the province is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
