Speculation rises after Pakistan decides not to play scheduled match against India
Indian media has started spreading reports about possible restrictions on Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup after Pakistan decided not to play a match against India in the tournament.
According to Indian media reports, a virtual board meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to be held following Pakistan’s stance on not playing against India in the T20 World Cup. However, no official statement has yet been issued by the ICC regarding any action.
Reports claim that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not formally informed the ICC about its final written decision. Indian media says the meeting may discuss whether Pakistan will be allowed to continue participating in the tournament without facing penalties.

Some Indian outlets are claiming that Pakistan could face fines or other disciplinary action for refusing to play against India. There are also speculations that Pakistan may face restrictions in future ICC events if the situation escalates.
Certain reports further suggest that the PCB could face heavy financial penalties and that broadcasters might demand compensation for possible losses. Additionally, there are claims that foreign players participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) could be affected, though no official confirmation supports these reports.
