Scientists communication in dream two lucid dreamers during a REM sleep experiment, marking a possible breakthrough in dream research.
Scientists from a company called REMspace in California have claimed a major breakthrough in dream research. According to the company, two people were able to communicate with each other while both were asleep and dreaming.
The experiment was conducted on September 24. Two participants who were experienced in lucid dreaming took part in the test. Lucid dreaming means a person is aware that they are dreaming while still asleep. Researchers monitored their brain activity using special machines, focusing on REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, which is the stage when most dreams occur.

During the communication in dream experiment, when the first participant entered a lucid dream state, scientists sent a made-up word, “Zhilak,” through earphones. The participant reportedly heard the word inside the dream and repeated it aloud while still sleeping.
A few minutes later, the second participant, who was also in a lucid dream, received the same word through audio signals. She also repeated the word “Zhilak” during her dream. After waking up, she confirmed the experience.

REMspace claims communication in dream may be the first recorded instance of two individuals communicating during dreams. However, independent experts say that more scientific research and repeated testing are necessary before confirming such a breakthrough.
If verified, this discovery could open new doors in neuroscience, sleep research, and even communication technology. Scientists believe it may help in understanding how the human brain works during sleep and dreams.
