The Ministry of Finance has released the for Budget 2026-27, outlining key deadlines, review meetings, and approval stages.
Mid-year review to be presented in February 2026 as ministries directed to submit estimates and project details by 20 February.
The Ministry of Finance has approved the budget-making schedule and issued a budget call circular. According to the ministry, the budget call circular for Budget 2026-27 has been released.
The Ministry of Finance said that the interim economic framework will be prepared during this month. The mid-year review report will be presented in the National Assembly in February 2026. All ministries have been directed to submit important budget forms, revised estimates of revenue and expenses, and details of development projects by 20 February.
The ministry further said that meetings of the Budget 2026-27 Review Committee will be held from 30 March to 12 April 2026. Information related to the exchange rate will be shared on 15 April. Approval of the Budget Strategy Paper will be taken by 20 April, while budget ceilings for current and development budgets will be issued between 21 and 25 April.

According to the schedule, meetings of the Annual Plan Coordination Committee will be held in the first week of May, and the meeting of the National Economic Council will take place in the second week of May. All budget documents will be completed by the end of May, and quarterly Budget 2026–27 estimates must be submitted by 30 June.
