Investigation reveals nearly 3,000 Palestinians disappeared during Gaza war due to use of high-heat thermal weapons.
An investigation says that very powerful weapons were used in Gaza. These weapons were so strong that many people disappeared completely.
The investigation says these weapons were given by the United States. They create very high heat. Because of this heat, nearly 3,000 Palestinians left no trace behind.
A woman named Yasmin Mahani walked through a damaged school in Gaza City. She was looking for her son, Saad. She found her husband crying loudly, but she could not find her son.
She said she searched many places, including hospitals. She looked for many days. She said they could not find Saad at all. There was no body to bury. She said this was the most painful thing.
Yasmin is not alone. There are thousands of Palestinian families like her. Their loved ones disappeared during the war in Gaza. This war has caused the deaths of more than 72,000 people.
According to rescue teams in Gaza recorded 2,842 people who disappeared completely after attacks. These people left no bodies behind.
Rescue workers say that after some attacks, they only find very small signs that people were there. Because of this, they say the people disappeared during the explosions.
Experts say this happened because of special weapons called thermal and thermobaric weapons. These weapons create extreme heat. The heat can go above 3,500 degrees Celsius. These weapons are also called vacuum bombs.

How rescue teams count missing people
A spokesperson from Gaza Civil Defence named Mahmoud Basal explained how they work. He said rescue teams go into homes after attacks.
They ask families how many people were inside the house. Then they count how many bodies they find. If some people are missing and no trace is found after a full search, they are listed as disappeared.
He said this decision is only made after checking everything carefully.
How these weapons work
The investigation explains that these weapons work differently from normal bombs. They spread special fuel in the air. Then the fuel burns very fast and very hot.
A military expert named Vasily Fatigarov said these weapons do not just destroy buildings. They can also destroy everything inside very quickly.

He explained that metals like aluminium and magnesium are added to make the fire last longer and burn hotter. This makes the explosion extremely powerful.
The investigation also says that some of these weapons use a mix called tritonal. This mix is used in large bombs made in the United States, such as the MK-84.
Because of this extreme heat and power, many people disappeared during the attacks, leaving families without answers.
