Lahore:
Important news for students across Punjab as the government is planning to reduce holidays in schools and colleges by introducing a uniform academic calendar.

According to official details, a committee formed on the instructions of the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court has recommended implementing a standardized academic calendar for all educational institutions in Punjab. Summer Vacations May Be Reduced

As part of the recommendations, the committee has suggested reducing summer vacations from two months and 15 days to just six weeks. The move aims to ensure timely completion of the syllabus and improve overall learning outcomes.

In its third meeting held over the past four months, the committee finalized its proposals. According to the plan, educational institutions in Punjab will observe 175 holidays annually, while 190 days will be reserved strictly for academic activities.
