Two Terrorists Killed in Attack on DI Khan Police Checkpost

Police foiled a late-night attack on a police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan, killing two terrorists after a heavy exchange of fire.

Police stopped a late-night attack on a police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan after armed terrorists opened fire. The police responded quickly and bravely, killing two terrorists during the gunfight. One police officer was slightly injured in the attack.

According to police officials, unknown armed terrorists attacked the Khati police checkpost late at night. The attackers suddenly started firing at the checkpost, trying to cause damage and panic.

Police officers present at the checkpost reacted immediately and returned fire strongly. A heavy exchange of gunfire took place between the police and the attackers. Due to the quick and brave action of the police, the attack was successfully stopped, and two terrorists were killed on the spot.

One Policeman Injured

During the exchange of fire, one police officer received minor injuries. Police officials said the injured officer was given medical treatment right away and is now out of danger.

After receiving information about the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada reached the scene. He reviewed the situation on the ground along with Saddar SP, City DSP, Suburb DSP, and other senior police officers and personnel.

Security Tightened in the Area

DPO Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada praised the police officers for their bravery and courage. He said the police fought the terrorists fearlessly and stopped a serious security threat.

He added that the morale of the police force is high, and security in the area has been further strengthened to prevent any such incidents in the future.
