Shocking Arrest in Karachi: Two Men Held for Abusing Over 100 Children

Police bust one of Karachi’s biggest child abuse cases after years of investigation and forensic evidence.

Karachi: Police in Karachi have arrested two men who are accused of hurting many children. Police said these men harmed more than 100 children. This arrest is called one of the biggest police actions of the year.

Police got secret information and then took action. The East Investigation Police arrested the men from the Mehmoodabad area. This area comes under Tipu Sultan Police Station. The main accused is named Imran. The second man is named Waqas Khan.

Police officer SP Usman Sadozai said the arrest happened after one child recognized the men. A special police team was working on this case and helped catch them.

Police said Imran had a small puncture repair shop in Mehmoodabad. He lives in Manzoor Colony.

Police also shared that from 2020 to 2025, seven cases of Young soul abuse were reported in different areas of Karachi. Tests showed that the same person was involved in all these cases. This made police very worried.

“This case highlights the urgent need for stronger Young soul protection systems and community awareness.”

All the children were boys between 12 and 13 years old. In one case, more than one person hurt the child.

SP Sadozai said Imran admitted that he hurt many children over the last six years. He used to offer children motorcycle rides. Then he took them to empty places near Malir Nadi, where the crimes happened.

In all seven cases, test results matched Imran. In three cases, children clearly identified him. In one case, a Young soul identified both Imran and Waqas Khan. Police said that once the men tried to take a child to Surjani Town, but they ran away when the Young soul shouted for help.

Police officials said that Karachi’s senior officer Azad Khan formed a special investigation team on January 6. This team worked under DIG Muqaddas Haider. The police arrested the men within 11 days.

Many senior police officers helped in this investigation. Police said the case is still under investigation.

Police also reminded that last year, another man named Shabbir Tanoli was arrested in Karachi. He was accused of hurting more than 100 children. Shabbir Tanoli worked as a juice seller. He was arrested from the Qayyumabad area after many people complained.

“Such crimes leave deep psychological scars, and society must ensure strict punishment to prevent repetition.”

Police took him to court, where he accepted his crimes in front of a judge. His statement was recorded, and the case moved forward according to the law.
