The Ministry of Interior completes investigation into the Islamabad gas leak explosion, issues safety recommendations to prevent future accidents.

The Ministry of Interior has finished checking the gas leak explosion in Sector G-7/2, Islamabad. A five-member committee sent its full report to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The report gives strong suggestions to stop such accidents in the future and to keep people and their property safe.

It tells the CDA to check all informal settlements again and bring them under the law. This will stop illegal and unsafe buildings. The report also gives clear orders to remove unauthorized structures.

Sui Northern Gas must now share the gas load-shedding schedule regularly in media and on social media, so everyone knows in advance.

People are also advised to turn off heaters at night and close the main gas valve while sleeping. This will help avoid accidents and improve safety at home.

The report also asks OGRA to take strict action against unsafe or low-quality gas cylinders. It suggests making tougher rules so accidents like this do not happen again.

The inquiry committee was led by Additional Secretary Interior, Nazar Bazdar. Other members included people from district administration, GHQ, Intelligence Bureau, and Capital Emergency Services.
