President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Pakistan Armed Forces expressed support on Kashmir Day.

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif showed support for the people on Solidarity Day. They said Pakistan is with them. They called them their brothers and sisters. They said the Kashmiri have the right to choose their own future.

This right is written in the rules of the United Nations. Both leaders asked the world to not only talk. They said the world should tell India to stop hurting people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmiri.

President Zardari said Solidarity Day started 36 years ago. This day was started by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. It started after the Kashmiri movement in 1989. He said this movement is still going on. He said for almost 80 years, the people are facing Indian control. They stayed strong. They gave many sacrifices for their freedom and basic rights.

President Zardari said he is very worried about the situation there today. He said the steps taken by India on August 5, 2019 made life harder for Kashmiri. He said India made new laws to increase control. News channels were stopped. Kashmiri leaders were sent to jail. There were also efforts to change the population of the area.

The president said Indian forces are breaking human rights there. He talked about reports from the world. These reports say people are arrested without reason. Families are punished together. Houses are broken. He said many social media accounts were blocked. This was done to hide the truth.

At the same time, Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also showed support for Kashmiri. They said the Kashmiris are brave. They are fighting for their right to freedom.

On this Solidarity Day, Pakistan Armed Forces spoke strongly against human rights abuses in there. They said people are killed without court orders. Many people are missing. Many are arrested unfairly. Efforts are made to change the people and politics of the area. They said this is wrong and against world laws.

Pakistan Armed Forces said the Kashmiri problem must be solved peacefully. The solution must follow United Nations rules. It must also respect the wishes of them. This is important for peace in South Asia. They said the world should help reduce the pain of Kashmiri people.
