According to sources, the winter holidays may be increased by one week. The government is checking the cold weather and seeing which areas are most affected. The plan is to give extra holidays to districts where the temperature goes below 5 degrees Celsius. If approved, some schools may stay closed until January 19.

All heads of the District Education Authorities have been asked to check the temperatures in their areas and share the information. After these discussions, an official announcement about the holiday extension is expected today.
