Karachi University students create Cardio Wit, a smart device that monitors multiple heart indicators and warns of possible heart attacks.
Students at Karachi University made a very smart device. It can warn people if their heart might get sick.
This device “Cardio Wit” is made especially for people whose hearts can have problems. Sometimes these people do not notice the signs of heart trouble on time. Because of this, they go to the hospital late. This can put their life in danger.
The students gave this device the name “Cardio Wit.” It can check many things in the body at the same time. It watches the heartbeat, oxygen in the blood, body temperature, sweat, and heart signals called ECG.
The special thing about this device is that it does not give an alarm for just one small sign. It waits until many dangerous signs happen together. When these signs happen at the same time, the device rings a loud alarm and warns the person. This way, they can go to the hospital quickly and get help.
The project team leader, Abdul Hanan Zafar, said the device uses a tiny computer called a microcontroller. It looks at all the information from the sensors and uses a smart method to understand what is happening.
The device is made to avoid false alarms. This means it will not make the person worried for no reason.

The device has special sensors. MAX30102 checks the heartbeat and oxygen. AD8232 checks the ECG signals. LM35 checks the body temperature. Another sensor checks sweat. All the information can be seen clearly on a small screen called an OLED screen.
A student in the project, Mariyah Saleem, said that this is the first device in Pakistan that looks at many signs of a heart attack together. Normal smart watches only show one thing at a time, like heartbeat or oxygen. They do not warn if a heart attack is coming. Cardio Wit looks at all the signs together and warns the person before it is too late.
This device is a very smart example of science and creativity. It shows how students can make something that can save lives.
