Famous Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav was sent to Tihar Jail after the High Court rejected his request for more time in a legal case related to bounced cheques.
Rajpal Yadav, known for his comic timing in films, has entertained audiences in hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama, Dhamaal, Chup Chup Ke, Phir Hera Pheri, and Kal Ho Na Ho. Despite his on-screen success, the actor has faced ongoing legal and financial challenges.
The court had initially ordered Rajpal to appear by February 4, but he requested additional time after arranging 5 million rupees for repayment. The High Court, however, denied his plea, and on Thursday, he followed the legal process and surrendered at Tihar Jail.

This is not the first time Rajpal has faced legal issues. In April 2018, he was sentenced to six months in jail and fined for failing to repay a loan on time but was granted bail immediately. Later, in June 2024, the High Court allowed him extra time to settle his dues with the businessman, provided he actively worked toward repayment.
Reports indicate that Rajpal Yadav had borrowed 50 million rupees from a businessman to fund a film. After he failed to return the full amount, the businessman approached the court, leading to the current legal proceedings.
The actor’s fans have expressed concern over the developments, showing support on social media while awaiting updates on the case resolution.
