Ben Stokes may need some more rest to fully recover from the injury. It is important to note that Stokes is already recovering from an earlier injury, which he suffered during the fifth Ashes Test played in Sydney in early January.

Due to that injury, Stokes was unable to bowl in Australia’s second innings. This tour proved disappointing for the England captain. Despite physical problems, he bowled well throughout the series, but struggled with batting, and England lost the Ashes series 1–4.
