ICC, PCB, and BCB Hold Key Meeting on India Pakistan World Cup Issue

ICC, PCB, and BCB held a five-hour meeting in Lahore to discuss the India Pakistan World Cup issue and Bangladesh’s concerns.

A very important meeting took place between the ICC, PCB, and BCB at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This meeting lasted for five hours. People believe this meeting may help solve the problem about Pakistan and India playing each other in the T20 World Cup.

The talks became serious after Pakistan said it would take part in the World Cup but would not play its match against India. This happened after Bangladesh was removed from the tournament, which caused more tension between teams.

A team from the International Cricket Council came to Pakistan for this meeting. The group was led by International Cricket Council Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja. They met Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Aminul Islam to discuss the issue.

Reports say the International Cricket Council has made a plan to deal with Bangladesh’s complaints. The International Cricket Council asked Pakistan to take full part in the World Cup. They said that boycotting matches could harm cricket as a sport.

According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was ready to agree with the International Cricket Council, but only if three conditions were accepted. These conditions included giving Pakistan Cricket Board a bigger share of International Cricket Council money, restarting cricket series between India and Pakistan, and creating a handshake rule to show good sportsmanship between teams.

Imran Khawaja advised the PCB to take these demands to the International Cricket Council arbitration committee instead of refusing to play matches.

The International Cricket Council also said that it cannot give any extra compensation to Bangladesh. However, it promised that Bangladesh would receive its full share of money from International Cricket Council earnings.
